So my old house was rented out by someone who left a few cars in my backyard/alley.

the cars are actually on my property.

what had happened is that the person who rented my old house got into a car accident or something along the other and is now in the hospital. Basically whoever he was living with lived there for an extra month before they finally listened to us and moved out.

but they left the house in bad condition, left personal things. clothes, couches, etc...

but what im trying to figure out is how to get rid of the cars in my backyard without having to pay.

any ideas?

Kidney foundation? What kind of shape are they in? I'm assuming they are POS's if you just want to get rid of them...

Edit: holy shit beat me to it 2X

i thought about the kidney foundation but the thing is the cars aren't mine.

like they belong to someone else... not even sure if the cars belong to the original tenant or the people he let live with him

There are quite a few free scrap removal companies in calgary
Just look in the scrap removal section in the classifieds of the sun or the towing section of the yellow pages

Call the city, saying it's an abandoned vehicle. They will probably put a 24 hour notice on it then tow it the next day.
