Consolidating Loans

I don't really have a lot of debt I have some credit card payments and a car payment every month but I think it would be easier to have one payment a month and get all of the debt cleared up except the loan.
Is that a bad idea? Do they negatively affect your credit?

I think you would need to take out another loan to cover your original debts and pay out your car, and then all your debts are on one bigger loan.

If you have to owe money, try to owe money on something that's lower interest (pay off credit card debt first and try to move it all onto either a line of credit or a loan).
