I have a 2000 Acura TL and I can hear rubbing/vibrations when i'm driving straight but when i turn the wheel even an inch to the right it goes away. A friend of mine scared me and told me it might be my axel but I didn't even curb it or anything stupid like that. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? How much it would cost? Thanks!

could it be snow and crud all built up in your wheel well that is rubbing the tire.

or you may have some crud and ice build up on the inside of your rim- this would make your wheel horribly out of balance until you clean it off.

IF it is the axle (you didn't have to hit a curb - could be wear), and you're looking at rebooting you're looking a probably $20+ in parts if you do it yourself. If the axle needs to be replaced you're looking at $75+ in parts.

If you're looking at getting a dealer or mechanic to do all the work for you and you want OEM parts, multiply by at least 5 times the prices above.
