Not sure if this should be in the society section, but I'll put it here.
Tolko (one of BC's biggest wood products company) is supposed to (or already has) lay off 25% of it's upper management.
If you don't know, Tolko's company plan while in a downturn like this was to save their money (by slowing production significantly)and buy up the competition when they are all struggling and collapsing.
Obviously something else has happened, bye bye wood industry in BC. Between all the collapsing mills and Pine Beetle, this place is going to be a big freaking rock.
I wonder if we can steal that name from N.L.?
To get the picture, the Okanagan is 95% - 98% (just heard these numbers on the news) pine tree's and if an infestation occurs there will be little to nothing they can do to stop it
