I made my whole family a christmas photo album/cook book full of all the recipies we eat for christmas dinner and christmas baking. I just hope they get here on time! Other than that, I got mom a stamps jersey of her favorite player (it was on her list) and a few other little things I thought she might like.

How did you set this up? Just call a hotel, get a room booked in their name or are there gift certificates or what?

Got a question about these... could you hack the digital picture frame, and change the settings to accept AVI or maybe play a slidshow but quick or a .gif... and be like a movie... like in Harry Potter... LOL!!!

I haven't seen harry potter, but you can buy these picture frames that play video, no hacking needed.

they have good gift certificates in Costco as well, dinner theatre stuff, ski packages, spa packages.

don't get perfume unless you know what her favourite is
Avoid clothing unless you know her size and know that she really wants it.

I asked for a photo book of the kids favourites, they also scanned in artwork to be uploaded special with their own messages etc. I haven't seen the final product but it's the one thing I am looking forward to the most.

PS I am a mom.

Good Luck finding your gift.

hmm lots of different things in this thread, i still dont know what to get my mom, she has 3 younger kids 11, 9 and 7.. i know she needs a new cell, so i think ill buy her one, and maybe get her a gift certificate for a hotel and watch the kids for a weekend or something?

im not sure, she is a survivor of breast cancer and many other ailments, just recently had a very important surgery, got screwed by workers comp and had to return to work a month prior to her allotted date to make sure all the bills were paid and that the young ones would be getting the gifts on their list for christmas.

needless to say its been a tough year for her and i want to recognize her for the great single parent she is.

Thanks for the input guys, some of you have put a lot of effort into gifts for your moms and im sure they will be happy with anything you give them, even a hug means more around christmas!
