They reccomend buying tickets in advance but have any of you gone and not had them? Do they actually "sell out" at the gate?? I just don't know when we're going to go so I don't want to buy them in advance...

Most people I know have just shown up and gone.. just go during the week sometime and it shouldn't be too busy.

I believe they are a few bucks cheaper in advance. But the real value is skipping the line. Sometimes it is HUGE and if you have tickets you just walk throuhg the season tickets holder line.

I went there on Friday and the lineup is maybe 5 minutes (if that long).

Not worth the money though. It seemed like it wasn't as good as it was even just a few years ago.

agreed.
the line-up was about 5 mins.
it wasnt worth the 8 bucks, it was freezing out and the lights sucked!

When you buy the tickets they are good for all season, just not xmas eve and nye. when you select a day its on an anticipated day for your visit, so just buy them now and go whenever, skipping the line FTW

The zoo lights suck this year....not worth it...went to the airdie lights and there ok...not really anything special but you dont have to pay to see them.

I was just there on Sunday...not nearly as impressive as the zoo lights but free is free I guess. Oh, and although it is free they are taking donations so bring a few bucks to help out :D

I'm thinking because it's at the zoo the zoo lights would have more to do/see but if you bring your skates you can skate at the Airdrie lights...
