Ok so recently my Lap Top has been cutting in and out, (cord to battery) while charging.

So I went down to the local Radio Shack (no help) to get a new end put on my charging cord. Then I purchased a new cord of E Bay for the same price.

While surfing, I noticed a new Female charging connector, for my laptop.

I ordered it, but now I want to know if anybody has replaced one thierselves?

Rate the job from 1-10, is it hard? There are places on E Bay that fix the problem for $15.00 after you remove the hard drive and ship it away.

Is this a "do it yourself" thing?

P.S. I love this site thanks in advance.

I have done it, it seems to be the weak spot in the cable. So make sure you thickn it up a bit with e-tape, it lasted a few months on mine. I just ended up buying new ac adapter and cord. 60$, less headaches.

Thanks for the reply, I have ordered a new AC adapter, $20 from Hong Kong.

I also ordered a new female adapter for the computer, and I am woundering if it is hard to solder to the board.
