Long story, but i ended up having lunch with a cop who works on stolen vehicles. He said a good proportion of stolen cars end up in east village because they just get jacked so they can get back to their crack dealers and get dumped.

For the record so nobody reports it. There is a blue Mustang that is parked at the Shell on 17th ave SW and 5th st. It has been there for a while and somewhat looks ditched there. It is one of the owners or workers of Shell.

Just thought I would make a note as it looks fairly similar although I believe it has TSW Thruxton wheels anyways. Sometimes people jump the gun!

Just heard back from the Edmonton impound, they report that there is ignition damage, and a few scratches and dents on the body, though that maybe pre existing.... they had no real details.... depends how sever, the car was pretty clean.

One thing that threw me off was that they say "there were no hub caps".... and uhm.... those 18's aren't supposed to have hub caps

So, My insurance picked it up Friday, but the cops came by yesterday, and they want it back, as unrelated to the car theft, they caught a guy doing something else, and now figure he was the thief, and had used the car in some other crimes that night....
