Customers might tap a button to order their favorite drink, say a double-shot mocha, as they stroll up to the nearest coffee shop. When the drink is ready to go, the device--such as an iPhone--would chime or blink to let the thirsty one know it's time to scoop up the order at the counter.

I'm still waiting for cars that can drive themselves. ALl it would need is all the roads programmed into its computer (constantly updated thru wireless of course) so it can keep itself between the curbs on the street or even between the lane markers, and some sort of laser technology to tell where other vehicles are. Then there would be the obvious controls put in by the government so that no car would be able to go above the speed limit. And eventually, people will find a way to bypass that ... and so on.. and so forth....
