What would you guys consider is the best kind of car for under 25,000. Keep in mind one with very low kms(not more then 3 years old), very good speed, nice options, and has some class??

Don't you think this topic has been over killed? Every week there are multiple threads on what car to buy. The responses are the exact same. If you add a couple more $$$ you can get this etc.
And like you don't know what car is good for $25000, if you don't, are you really an enthusiast?

I haven't driven many of the cars out there and was simply directing the question to people who has had personal experieces from the car. Reading reviews is sometimes biased.
I haven't really been reading the other threads on this topic. I'll just do a search instead!!

I think that you will find people are VERY biased towards their car (me included) You dont want to buy a car that other people think is cool...you have to buy a car that you like and serves your needs...with 25k and the fact that you dont need a brand new car you options are about a mile long. Go for a test drive marathon...its more fun than hearing us bitch about other cars and about how cool our cars are!
BTW...buy an RSX they are the best car EVER

What type of vehicle are you looking at? Sedan/Sport Sedan/Couple/Hatch/
for 25K I'd test drive:
Sentra Spec V
Focus SVT
Civic SIR
Integra Type R / GSR if you can find one
GTI VR6/1.8T
Jetta VR6/1.8T
That's just some compacts of the top of my head.

For a classy car, get a Jetta 1.8T. The 2002's can be had for less than $25,000 with leather. Low km's on a 1 year old car, and a really nice car. Interior could use some serious work, but otherwise a good value.

Although I can't agree with you on the leather. I can't stand vw/audi leather, stiff german masochistic torture seats IMO

Getting this thread back on topic.......
Do you have any preferences to make or country of origin?
If not there are a good few cars to be had for under $25k.
I'd look for a third gen Integra GS-R if you're goin' for a Japanese car. If German then maybe a GTI would be my pick.
Hope that helps :)

How about buy a used (insert car here) for $10-15K, and save the rest for a rainy day (eg. swapping, tuning, etc...)

how about a first gen neon for $4000 and 21000 in mods!!! That would decimate everything! No but really...why not an SRT-4! Has what you need: Low kms(it's new), very good power (nothing in that price range comes close) all the options you need, and if that thing doesn't look/sound mean i dont know what does...of course that'll mean that you wont be able to drive any of the oh so popular/loved rice machines...errr...imports :D

Sunfire yes, Cavalier, no. I made the unfortunate mistake of renting a '03 Cavalier, and the damn thing nearly beat the stuffin' out of me. No head room (the door jam is RIGHT above your head) so the ride went: bump 'Ow' - bump 'Ow' - bump 'OW', the doors don't open all the way, so they come back and Tanya Harding you in the chins. Ugh..
Neon's are good, tho. Nimble little things. I know they're not Ford, but If I had to buy Domesic, I'd go for the Neon.
