Can anyone name off any dealerships or shops in the NW, i'm fairly new to the area and i want an apprenticeship. I've been sending emails out like crazy and noone seems to reply :dunno: i'll just keep trying ... If your a tech can you please send me a pm, i have some questions.

emails wont really give you much, nor can i as far as shops in the NW go.

anywhere that looks like you wanna work there just walk in and talk to the manager, if you have some idea of what you are talking about i can see you landing a job in a day or 2..

:werd:^^^ head down to Volker Steven down on 54 Ave SE, my buddy works there and he landed the job fairly easy

City of Calgary Transit is so short on mechanics, they've been working overtime all year (voluntary) some pulling in over $100g's

But their shops are 1. 32nd ave NE 2. Victoria Park downtown 3. Anderson SW

I checked out the city of calgary and they want 4th year or journeyman...

Class one does nothing really for this trade, but it is good you have it!!!

also fleet brake is expanding, but they are on 52nd st SE

talk to them at the transit anyway.... if you have a good head on your shoulders, have a good grasp on things and seem like a hard worker they are probably willing to put you up through the apprenticeship.

the biggest thign about calgary i have seen so far a resume is only a contact card for most trades. walk in, make a good impression,m ask lots of questions and tell them why you are there and why you want to be a mechanic.. trust me they will call you :)
