I go with the RX, def needs some work but would be a far better project car IMO, if yer not gonna dump a ton of douhg into either though then go witht the Soarer ...

what kind of work do you think, and what would you consider huge amounts?

Clean up for one, and then some engine work, I'd say anything over 4K or more would be a huge amount (close to 50% of the car's purchase price)

The rx7 wins on price, fun to drive and better performance
The soarer wins on reliability and cost to maintain.

RX7's need a lot of attention but definitely are a better all around performer.

oh dear ya 4k is preeeetttyyy expensive and how much do you think to maintain the soarer?

i depends what you want from the rx7 i dont think it will need 4 k if you just want a good car. if the car actually have 34k on it then the engine shouldnt need to be touched for a while and if you dont mind the dmg on the front and rear quarters it wont need any work.

soarers are always a nice car but they are a luxury car and unless your gonna mod them they will be quick but definatly not fast.

gl on your purchase if you have any questions feel free to pm me.

I would pick different cars all together.... If you think 4k is exspensive for cleaning up a car , you will be completely fuggered if something goes wrong with eather of them.

Are you sure about that??

I was thinking you'd be leaning more towards a van with FREE CANDY painted on the side?

Sorry I had to..

Since Jaymez has pointed out, if your saying 4K is pretty expensive costs to maintain/fix, then Soarer for you my friend...if your gonna join the JDM trend, you cant be JDM cheap with a empty JDM wallet

Exactly. There are other cars in your price range that won't cost as much to fix if things go wrong.

id go with the soarer myself...

RX-7s are really nice cars... but im ignorant to rotaries and from what i do know they require a lot of attention to keep them running great.

the soarer will give you a decent amount of performance, not as fun to drive as the RX-7 but overall i think it would be a better option as a daily driver.

from what i can see... the body is in better shape as well...

if you know how to maintain a rotory, then get the rx-7, otherwise I would choose the soarer no doubt.
