take these things off....

im trying to remove my front license plate bracket and i unscrewed where the plate sits flat on but then i encountered this

any ideas?!
its not cut in.. its held in at the bottom there where theres those 2 oval shaped things .. it definetly shouldnt b pryed off either

Have you tried looking underneath/inside the front bumper to see if there are clips/screws holding it in from the other side?

Hard to tell, but looks like rivets, or some variation? If you can't access any threaded nut behind them, you might want to drill them off, carefully (ie, run a good-sized drill bit into the rivets, but make sure you don't drill past the plate underneath and damage the body. But are you sure you want to remove these? It almost looks like it'll be pretty ugly once they come off... you might be better off running some kind of vanity plate on top, rather than have to look at the holes left over after removal.

I wouldn't take them off, the front license plate will be coming back shortly
