Hi,

I am looking for some input here, does anyone know what's the approx cost for fixing a blowby on KA24DE? and which shop would you recommend to have this done?

Many thanks.

you might want to be a little more specific, the question is very general.

Blow-by can be the result of a number of issues....

Get a compression and leak down test.. they can tell you which direction to go...

Blowby is usually the result of worn rings. You're looking at a significant rebuild if that's the case.

Engine swap will be the same cost, if not cheaper than getting the engine rebuilt. Used KA24DEs go for around $300-350. Getting it swapped will be about $750-1000 at a shop. Or maybe you just have a faulty PCV valve, which is a $6 fix.
