I was driving in a residential area today, and missed my turn to go to a friends house, tried to make it last minute, slid, back end kicked out and i hit the light post. The truck still drives perfectly. Just has body damage. This happened this morning so i have NOT had the truck checked out. I did however drive the truck home perfectly fine.
The rest of the truck is in absolute MINT condition inside and out. Engine is very strong, this has the CONTROL TRAC 4WD system, fully loaded, every option. 6 disc changer, mint interior. drives amazing. 4x4 works great. I do not have collision on the truck, i have just put PLPD on for some stupid reason. I just agreed to whatever they put me on, which is wierd because every other vehicle i owned they had full coverage on.!

I will have pictures of the truck later on today/tonight.

Truck can drive away!

The truck has not been reported as being in a accident, or anything.

So if someone buys this and repairs it, it TECHNICALLY would go un-noticed, or it can be used as a parts truck.

Isn't just repairing it without telling the police illegal?

Reguardless if someone's property or city property
was damaged or harmed in anyway i'm sure they would/could
find you.

Find me for what?

If you get into a fenderbender with no injuries and don't go through insurance do you tell the police? I know this is a more severe accident, but along the same lines if you get what im saying.

Its more labour that cost. But im selling it more as a parts truck, the entire drive train is perfect, mint fenders, hood, front bumper, glass, interior is mint (other than the back where it was hit) intake, new grill.. etc. Tires and rims are mint.

We need Masked Bandit to post in here, but even if you don't make a claim, repair shops need police stickers to do repairs that are over $1000, which means a police report still needs to be filled out.

Who is masked bandit?

Yes only if you are getting it done at a shop. Which i would not recommend.

Im selling this truck to be used as parts, or if you have another 95-99 explorer that is wrecked, you can use parts off of that car to fix this one and have a mint running vehicle.

Who is masked bandit?

Well my friend got into a fender bender, bumper needed to be replaced and repainted. They did NOT go through insurance or file a police report, however the damages costed $2100 which Lou's autobody had no problem completing and did not ask a question.

But Yes only if you are getting it done at a shop. Which i would not recommend.

I'm pretty sure this is illegal just because you can't drive and don't claim damaging city property doesn't mean you can break the law again.

how many people go around sliding on ice and accidentally bump and smack into things, then repair them to good shape....

c'mon people, dont be stupid....

I never damaged city property what so ever, i hit a light post. They are solid, there is not even a scratch, the cops know about it. I just never gave them my information. So they have no clue what vehicle and such.

Shitty deal. It's a write off for sure. I don't know if you're looking to sell it whole or what. I'd be interested in the grill and running boards if you decide to part it.

If you do resort to parting it out I would be interested in some things too.
Good luck with the sale.
