Star wars kid sueing???

I just saw on tv that that fat star wars kid that is twirling around with that stick is sueing 4 classmates that put it on the internet for $250,000.
He will be richer but will certainly not look better or be more respected :D

I dunno, if I was him... after getting over the initial embarassment of it all... I'd feel kinda famous. Not everyone's laughing cuz he's a dumbass... they're laughing cuz it was entertaining! I'd think there'd be more people on the street going "Oh hey! You're the star wars kid! Funny sh*t, man!" rather than "Oh hey, you're that lame-o star wars kid. Go crawl in a hole"

I'm not sure if I feel sorry for him or not (I've never had a video of myself doing anything released to the world, so maybe I'm biased), but I wouldn't think that something like a kid twirling about a big stick is grounds for any kind of mental damage whatsoever. Honestly, I don't find this a laughing matter and it just made me upset to read the past forum on this.

What he did was make a mistake and now he has to spend the rest of his life paying for it.

Yes, it made it to Red Deer - in fact, it made it literally all over the world as there are people that I know in Vancouver, Toronto, and Hong Kong (to name a few places) that have the email. Yes, he had to leave. But is it funny? I hardly think so. It isn't fair that he needs to restart his life because of some personal pictures that he had on his computer.

But who hasn't made a mistake before? Everyone has! True - he was the one who took the pictures and he shouldn't have had those incriminating pictures on his computer in the first place yet it was his personal computer. A person can have whatever picture of him/herself on their computer and it shouldn't be anyone's business but their own.

So for me to be reading this and seeing so many "lol" and "ha ha ha" makes me see just how low some of you are going. Laughing at the expense of someone else's life.

So for those of you who already know the story, please have mercy on him and stop spreading it around because his life is already ruined as it. Since it's in the past it might as well remain in the past.

And if you're wondering why I'm standing up for him, it's because I lost a friend due to something so silly. A silly mistake that made him leave. I'm sure everyone has their own personal skeletons in their closet. Is it right for someone to invade your space and let one of these 'skeletons' out?

No, I don't find it funny. I think it was cruel and uncalled for and an invasion of his privacy. But ya know, Murphy's Law works for everyone, even though the real law may not. You keep nasty-ass pics of yourself, someone will eventually find them. It's like mom finding your collection of porn under your matress: It's bound to happen sometime. Someting similar like that happened at Queen's this year.

A lot of people just downloaded their movies (most of which were porn) directly to their shared folder, so everyone in Res could download them. Usually what happens is people will end up forgetting that the folder is shared and starts putting random stuff into it. There were even some people who shared their entire hard drive. Anyway, one guy had horse porn on his computer, which by itself isn't that bad because no one really knew who it was. Until one day he saved an assignment in the same folder... haha, so not only did everyone else in Res have access to his horse porn collection, but also his name, student number and section.

Poor guy... but hey, if you're going to have a horse porn collection on your computer, at least be smart enough to know NOT to share your personal information with it.. hahaha :angel:

one of the things about life that everyone eventually learns is that it IS TOTALLY FAIR TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKES.

its called taking responsibility for your own actions. in this case, jerk-off buddy needs to realize that he made a mistake, and as such, deserves to be in the doghouse for it. if he doesnt want the whole world to laugh at him, he shouldnt have put up nasty pics in the first place.
