Well want to go to a decently priced good italian resto. Abruzzo is closed for the holidays. What would be a decently priced italian place to go to. Meaning we don't want to pay upwards of 30$ a plate but don't mind paying a bit to have a good meal. We went to Murieta's on NYE so the food budget took a big hit haha.

I know Beyonders must know good italian eating on here hehe. Suggestions please as soon as possible as I would have to make reservations for tonight.

Buon Giorno has been excellent everytime

Mid price vs low price pasta. You can taste the difference! I also find Chianti's to be really heavy on the sauce. Do they still have the all Asian kitchen staff? I can't help but notice that every time I go. I've stopped going since my University days so it's been a few years.

hrmm i forgot what the place is called it starts with a M.

It has an italian grocery market attached to it. its a couple blocks away from tin palace earls and couple blocks away from towa sushi (meaning in the middle of the 2).

its pretty much right by the shoppers drug mart on 4th.

very good italian food.

That would be Mercato

I would go for Da Guidos off of Centre St N. Some of the best in this city.

my girlfriend hates fiore, we went to Buon Giorno had the stuffed mushroom caps with crab, then had the pasta feast we had seafood lasagna, tetrazini and veal tortellini with spinach and then finished with Tiramisu. The whole experience was amazing, food was more than excellent, server was polite and very attentive to our needs, the restaurant had a nice romantic cozy atmosphere...So a big thanks for whoever suggested this restaurant we had a great time and amazing food.

Il Gardino..... horredous spelling. Their somewhere between 4th and 3rd street & 17th ave SW. From people that I've eaten there with (that have been to Rome) its the closest to Italitan food they'd ever eaten on this side of the Pacific ocean.

I love the food & service myself:)

Austria doesn't sound too Italian to me!:D

What you mean to say is Osteria de Medici, fantastic but is way over the OP's budget.

And Osteria has gone waaaay downhill over the last few years.

For a mid-priced place, what about San Remo in Marda Loop? Last time I was there the food was great and the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed than the bussle of the DT restos.

I am not a big pasta guy, but I go to Chianti Crowfoot and the ONLY thing I'll ever order is their baked Lasagne. Seriously one of the best out there. Everything else on the menu (except for the free bread) sucks dick. Even better to go for Pasta Mon/Tues ($6.99). Eat it when it's piping hot!

Chianti's is shit. Been there twice (Crowfoot and Willow Park), got food poisoning both times! The only 2 times I've ever gotten sick from a restaurant. Once is a fluke, twice from the same restaurant......:barf:

Yeah I know they're shit. But seriously... Try their baked lasagna for $6.99. If you don't like it, you're out $6.99. Their other pastas I wouldn't touch.

we had the mushroom caps with cheese and crab and we weren't impressed....but the pasta was absolutly delicious. The seafood lasagna was amazing to say the least.
