My girlfriend just got laid off due to employer going bankrupt, anyone know of any reception openings with decent pay that wouldn't be listed in the normal places, send em my way.

Thanks in advance.

What's her work experience like? Reception at an office is different than medical office (for instance)

Actually I was going to offer her a job talking on my... er... phone all day :)

But in all seriousness.

www.calgaryjobshop.com is a great place. She can upload resume etc etc. I can ask my friend that works at Johnson Controls (york) and see if they're hiring.

Temp agencies....lot of companies use them to fill their entry level office positions. Really its the only way if you have no connection, look them up, there are tons in Calgary.

Office Team was amazing for me.
I got hired on the spot for a reception/admin position with an amazing engineering company. After three months I got hired on full time.

Talk to Matt or Diane...

Sounds kind of odd to hear of a medical professional going bankrupt. :dunno:
There is an engineering/design firm down the hall from where I work that seems to have been missing a receptionist for a while now. LMK if it interests your girlfriend. It's located in the deep south. Don't know the situation over there, but it might be worth a shot.

We may have an opening (busy radiology practice), but she would have to be willing to commute to Okotoks. PM if interested and I can send you contact info for our HR person.

Graham Construction, Dawson Wallace construction are always looking for administrative assistants. She could likely get hired on as a field receptionist/assistant.

Here is a simple step by step procedure.

- Sit on couch and watch the Flames game
- Point your GF to the computer
- Tell her to type up her resume
- Tell her to search for jobs on Workopolis

CTM Design Services Ltd.
As stated I don't know the full story over there. I just noticed that there hasn't been a receptionist sitting up front for a while.

Try Kelly Services. They're a pretty good staffing firm.

Anyone have any leads to a job that involves any marketing at all?
