Pictures are from last year ... crazy accident... I wonder if the guy called all his loved ones to say goodbye before help arrived to save him.

+2 for the shit pile

Who knows how long he waited until recuse actually arrived, on top of that to actually secure the truck cab to be 100% in the safe zone... there ain't no superman or spiderman in this real world.

There's something to be said for full body on frame construction

I would have loved to have been there when the tow truck driver was trying to figure out how to take it away..

Does Revelstoke FD have a ladder truck? Is there road access to whatever was under the bridge? Otherwise it's park wardens with a zillion feet of rope tying the thing off and having him climb up thru the back window, IMO.

Those chains through the window don't look so secure either.

Looks like a fireman actually went and retrieved him? There's a picture of a fireman harnessed up to rope getting ready to climb over the edge.

Doesn't seem like it'd be tough to extricate himself. The doors open in a way you could stand on them.

I don't really think I would have waited around for the rescue. Just my gut feeling, I would try to go out the back window or the door ASAP.

Wouldn't moving around just aggravate the damage even further?
I'd be holding my damn breath, and if I heard any creaking, I would piss, just to lose some weight.

Thats nuts. A flat-bed semi did the same thing on hwy. 97 over the edge of a cliff just yesterday out here too. Accidents like that are pretty crazy...
