Have you ever ordered from this site before? Are they a reputable site? Do you know how long the average shipping time is?

Any help is appreciated, its just that i have never ordered a part online before.

Thank you.

I haven't, but many Canadians have. They charge you exactly what UPS charges them for shipping.

I've ordered from Tischer. So much cheaper than local dealers.

Anyone know about shipping times? How much would the cost be on a pump apprx (shipping wise)?

I would contact them directly but there lines have been busy all morning... I sent them an email and am waiting for a response.

What did you order and What kind of brokering costs were incurred?

Brokerage costs are all outlined on the UPS website. Just get it shipped 3 day air and you don't have to pay anything but the GST when it arrives. Sure it costs more than ground, but it ends up being close to the same after brokerage and you get the part right away.

^ orange, or three day air, is only a service from canada to us.

On the same note my car is scheduled to be checked for a steering wheel issue. Ive been hearing a hissing coming from the steering column, like air being released. Has anyone heard of anything like this before?

OH SHIT dude!!! same thing happened to me!

So my steering pump broke once I hit a pot hole... and I got it replaced parts and labor by BMW Calgary and it cost... $2500 with parts and labor.

The had to replace the pump $900

the hose from the pump to the rez was like $200 or so...
and the hose from the pump to the steering rack... another $200 or so... and it was a bitch and a half.

Then two months later... the pump breaks and of course I was pissed! so I got the car in again within 4 days, and they got it fixed within 2 days... and yeh it was the pump spindle that broke.

So there's BMW's for you. If you can do the steering pump yourself I suggest you should. I could of... but time is money and I don't have time to jack up the car, and do all this crazy engine shit. I rather pay the $$ and get it done right.

Steve

Change your fluid more often, these pumps can last much longer!
