On my way home from Red Deer last night, i got pulled over and got a ridiculous ticket for speeding. When i got home and had a chance to look at it I noticed that he had made a mistake on my postal code. I know that if they spell your name wrong you sometimes dont have to pay the ticket and it wondering (and hoping) that it might be the same for this?

does anyone know anything about this?

A coupel members of CPS on this forum, hopefully they'll shed some light on the situation... or speak with a traffic lawyer.

I was driving home from red deer around 3 am a couple months ago and was clocked doing 150klm/h... dropped the ticket off to a traffic lawyer and it was taken care of.

Worst case scenerio, you shell out some cash to a traffic lawyer.

So is it a case that you weren't actually speeding?

on one of my tickets they filled in the wrong postal code, and on another they left it blank, either way it doesnt matter as the ticket is still valid.

Pay it , its gonna cost more to fight it and you were speeding.

If it was that ridiculous, you would have been taking the shoe lace express back to Calgary and going back to get your car from some impound lot.

Ridiculous? :thumbsdow
weak.
