Just thought I'd post a plug for the jiu jitsu club that I am a member of. We're about 1 year old and fairly small. We have an excellent student-instructor ratio.
We don't focus the MMA/BJJ styles of jiu jitsu, rather we focus on self-defense and traditional jiu jitsu. We don't enter competitions and there are no macho attitudes and you don't have to be an athlete to start.
Classes are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:15-8:45pm at the Family Leisure Center (behind Southcentre mall).
Come in a try it out at no cost or obligation.
