Checkstops are done for things other than drinking. Belts, lights/safety equipment, etc....

I went threw a checkstop on Friday night with a burnt out headlight, they didn't say anything.

apparently in addition to the checkstop, there was a blue RAV4 or CRV alike that went up to the curb and sped away. cops were chasing the car like carzy afterwards

^^How can you chase a Rav 4 or CRV like crazy? Isn't their top speed something like 120k? :)
