To be honest, I need a hard change in my work out.

Thinking about taking the 90 day challenge.

Anyone done this?

yes i've done it, gives amazing results or atleast i think so
Its pretty time consuming tho I did it during summer. Its a nice intense 1-2hour workout, i found it gave me better results then training on my own routine

Looks pretty interesting.

There is a bootcamp group in town. I have seen them at Confederation Park and they training at a few places. Variation is the way to go.

My friend does that program and he loves it. He lost a tonne of weight and put on quite a bit of strength. He also said that his balance is much much better after doing only 2 months of the program.

sweet, I was going to make a thread on this too. I will try it soon too:D

for the people that have tried it, exactly what materials were used (i.e weight of dumbbells, what time of resistance elastic or whatever etc.)

Skeptical.

What do you do for Legs? I've done my share of research on this too, all I can say is Good luck.

Also the guys who have it ripped could ya paste up a typical day or two on what the food plan consists of? Curious on that.

One thing I'm convinced about this program is that it WILL increase "day to day" strength. But in terms of power lifting, strong man strength, don't expect miracles :D

bigbadboss101
02-20-2008, 10:46 PM
Functional strength in the long run would be more useful and short spirt powerlifter type of strength. I know some guys who can lift lots in the gym but if I was looking for someone to help me move stuff or build the house I would phone up this 'skinny' friend of mine. Stronger not in the gym but when he needs it.

For your legs you got the whole leg workout routine plus Polymetrics which is all leaping and jumps
then you also got your kempo x which is like kung fu and stuff so lots of high kicks and balance.
And you got your core workout, whole bunch really.

Darkane
04-25-2008, 09:13 PM
1 week? Come on now.. You've lost water weight.

Take these measurements if you're serious:

Chest
Arms
Calfs
Quads
Waist (Around the widest part [love handles] and around belly button)

I bet they ALL go down with in the first week. This indicates water loss from previous retention due to whatever. Stress, hormonal, food.

As soon as you start losing primarily from Stomach and quads or other high fat storage areas you know you're burning fat.

Everyone should take measurements. Scales aren't very good indicators!

Good program, recently slacked off but I really have to start getting into it again. Plyo is a pain in the butt, but after a few times the results are pretty dramatic. Plus I feel that this goes by a lot quicker then training at a gym or something, but that's just me. For the first few session ones I would have to say Yoga is the killer one, it's just amazing amazingly difficult.

If you youtube p90x you'll see quite a few people with some crazy results. I believe one person who saw this through ended up losing 60 pounds or something...

You have to really committ to it otherwise it won't work. I'm mainly doing the CD 12 one Ab workouts :D trying to get rid of this beer belly... pretty sweet, lost couple pounds off my waist line.

I'd recommend it.

im on week 5, i have missed a couple days here and there (mostly yoga days and x-strectch because i find both really boring) so some days i have to fit like 2 hours of working out. It takes a lot of dedication to keep going everyday and eating right and the right amount and getting a solid 7 hours of sleep. I wasn't expecting it to be so time consuming and challenging. Plus you should be taking supliments as well, and you have to keep track of so many things.

Some of the excersises take SOO much out of you. Esspecially the shoulders/chest/triceps. First time i did it my arms were on fire. You will be dead at the end of some of the cardio excersises as well. I was fit when i first started and i play quite a bit of sports but at the end of core/abs/plyo i am covered in sweat and had to stop a few times during the work out the first time i did each one. You get use to it and you can feel yourself getting stronger and if you track your progress you will be able to prove it to yourself. My body has changed a lot in 5 weeks, I can't imagine at the end of the 90 days. I lost almost all my stomach fat and my arms and abs look a lot bigger and more defined.

Its a good program! It would be well worth the money but I would just get the dvds burnt off somebody and print the documents/books and save yourself the $120 or whatever it is that it costs.

I'm on 3rd week of this. The first month is pretty much all about getting your body and joints use to these work outs. You'll start to lose some weight (if eating right) and you will look more toned. Real results takes months to show. I do feel stronger and feel that my body is more lose and are able to keep up with more work outs.

Not recommended if you're looking to gain weight, there is lifting but it's a cardio intensive program and it's focused more on leaning out your body than bulking up.

I ended up quitting due to a lack of motivation, but after finally finishing my important exams, I'm looking at getting back into shape (And restarting this program). I don't know how much to tell you, but after doing Plyometrics for a few weeks I definitely noticed an increase in leg strength. It's 1 hour to 2 hours a day of exercise (and it rarely goes above 1 and a half), but the key is following through till the end.

Did it till week 3 then quit a couple months back, re-starting it this week. I hated the chest and back workout. I'm like the weakest guy in the world and when i saw the Chest and Back, I could only do 30 minutes of it (40 if you include the warmup) and I was basically done for the day.

A buddy of mine who's done all of it, said that for beginners it's good to split the workouts in a day. As in due the warmup + first 30 minutes in the morning and warmup + last 30 minutes (ab ripper x optional) in the evening. That way my body can get used to it. Hopefully that strat will deter me from quitting.

Definitely a good program to have a good core + get toned, I also felt a lot stronger and had more energy when I ended week 3. With the calendar, nutrition guide and everything - it's the best workout I found out for a newbie like me.
