Experience with Rislone or Lucas?

I'm curious if anyone has used either of these products before? I've got a bit of lifter tick when my engine is cold and someone told me these products help. I'm a little wary though as any sort of detergent/cleaning product can sometimes cause more damage than good!

I used Rislone on my 91 GTI. It did seem to help the lifter tick.
