Help need to get pigeons away from my house

Hi I have a problem with pigeons on my house. They wont leave me alone and take the biggest shits on my house everywhere.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of them.

A dead pigeon actually...(heard that if they see a dead one, they stay away). But then you may have other issues. But hey if you want to have fun, get yourself an air rifle.

hahaha i had the pigeon problem also. What i did was i placed a board with nails coming out and placed it where they stand and but they still managed to stand on it and actually bent the nails on the board lol..... But one year, 2 pigeons were having a fight and one of them managed to kill the other one and left it dieing after that incident they haven't returned since. *knock on wood** lol....

But yeah i agree they are SOOO annoying lol wooo wooo wooo wooo flap flap flap wooo woooo

you can try dangling some old CD's from a string they don't like them. If you get a chance to get a water gun and directly hit them with water they don't like that either.

We never had the plastic owl work and they cost like $50.00.

We used to have a bad pigeon problem at my work, they hired professionals who would bait corn with a type of mild posion that would dis-orient the birds when they ate it and they would fly away and forget where they came from or use to roost and sort of get "lost". Some of them would fly around or wander around drunkenly though and they use to hit the windows a lot. They also would trap the pigeons and humanely dispose of them, and no, dead pigeons do not deter live ones.

You should also get on your roof and check for nests and continually remove any you find. Wear gloves and a mask, they are dirrrrrty birds!

you can buy the plastic owls at Walmart, they are somewhat seasonal, but Sunnyside has them all year round. Like I said before, they never worked for us. Our neighbor kept an overrun coop. My father loved to feed the birds but when the man was elderly his coop got out of control and they just starting eating whatever bird feed was put out. So we went from a backyard of nuthatch, sparrows and finches to nasty pigeons.

Our problem came to an end when the old guy died, and the city took all the pigeons away. He was legally allowed to have 25 he had over 80. We tried everything BB's, owls, sprinklers, terror eyes, wire. They were so hungry they didn't care.

What you really need to do is introduce a predator into your roof environment. I suggest a mountain lion. Don't go overboard though or you'll need something to control the mountain lion population on your roof..

We had a SHIT LOAD of pigeons on our roof. They shitted so much it clogged our gutters and downpipes. It was insane. What me and my dad did is use STUCCO MESH (ie: looks like a chain link fence type of material, the squares are like 2x2...find it in the stucco/cement aisle at Home Depot). We hooked up our staple gun to the compressor and went to work, covered up all the gutter areas and any places on the roof where they hung out.

On the peaks of the roof we cut the mesh and made the wires stick up in the shape of a V so they can't stand on the peaks.

Haven't seen a single pigeon since. Took almost a day worth of work but it ensure they never come back.

get some super double sided sticky tape and tape ur entire roof with it.. it wouldn't solve ur problem but it would be funny as hell to watch..

actually it might even work since they wouldnt want to get stuck again if they got out, also it would make cleaning the poo easier

OR....you could get yourself a pet hawk/falcon. We were working down in Chapparal couple weeks ago in a brand new house. Hear this huge "BANG" on the front window, thinking someone had thrown something at it we go check it out and see this Falcon sitting on a pigeon. The both of them had slammed into the window (I guess the falcon was attacking him)
