Very few 400 level Econ classes are easy.

There was one I took but I don't remember the number of it (ECON 483???). It was the history of economic thought. Wasn't very hard at all but it was pretty dry, actually VERY dry material.

Econ 425 w Gaisford I found not to be too hard...it can be a little dry at times but he gives study guides for his midterm & final...if u study off those you should be fine

took ECON 401 (Taxation) last year.. thought it was pretty easy as long as you study a little bit

ECON 475 seems to be really hard (see my other thread) and I dropped ECON 481 ( behavioral economic) 10 min into the first lecture ( literate just went on my laptop in class and dropped it)

Econ 499 in this semester should be really easy. 425 with the chinese grad student teaching was super easy as well.

Wouldn't say it was easy easy but the labor economics classes taught by Chris Bruce aren't too bad.

Econ 431 and 433. Require maybe a slightly above average amount of time to be prepared for his exams.

Taking ECON 421 right now...can't really be sure if it's easy or not, but I can be sure that there is at least one loudmouth that loves to play professor sitting in the back.

I registered for 423 last winter semester. I dropped it before the add/drop deadline cause a different class opened up that I wanted to take.

Friend of mine stayed in that class. He said it was somewhat difficult. Something about having an exchange rate/money market diagram and a interest rate/output diagram being superimposed on each other had him all confused.

I didn't find 481 hard, but it was definetely not easy. Definetely the more interesting 400 level Econ class I have taken as it requires alot of thinking outside the box. There is a term paper worth around 30% and assignments worth about the same. I think I really lucked out getting a B+ in that class as I didn't think I did well on the final exam or the term paper at all (I did pretty awful on the assignments). If you take it with Robert Oxoby, he is a really cool and charismatic guy.
