So yesterday I finally caved in and bought my first brand new vehicle, I was sick of working on cars all the time. Fixing this and that, my mr2 is the only project I want. I chose this because I need a tow vehicle and I've always loved these trucks. It's a 2008, offroad package in Iceberg, new color for 08! Such a fun toy

Nice new car man!
I've always wondered, what kind of motor is in this car? How much power does it have? 4WD I assume? Looks like an awesome car to own!

Because of the manditory white roof, I think white is the best colour for this truck.

The FJ is very well rated, and in my opinion it's a very decent price for what you get.

Nice job!

those FJ do have some good kick. those 6-cylinders do go along pretty good. now all you need is the 6 inch lift and off-road tire and it would look pimpin.

if you need an good example look at the one in front of Canyon Creek Toyota

Nice purchase! It was between the FJ and the X-Terra Offroad for me. I feel I made a good choice, although it was crap service for the 3rd time that pushed me to go with Nissan.

However, Great truck Ryan! Perhaps we get a Beyond Offroad session together sometime this year.

Good luck with it!!

And now the pressing question... are you actually going to take it off-road, as it was intended?

Absolutely, as Kona said I think we need to arrange a Beyond offroad cruise.

What's with you and white SUVs? Anyway, congrats on the truck; definitely a big change from an older Pathfinder or your huge Pacifica!

everything about those styling wise just makes me want to vomit uncontrollably, however I can see that it would be a fairly useful vehicle for outdoor excursions. enjoy

There's no way i'm the only one who doesn't like the styling of that SUV. I'm sure its nice to have a brand new vehicle and not have to worry about fixing problems but that would never be my choice.

Redlyne_mr2
01-19-2008, 10:18 PM
It's funny you either love or hate the styling, I can understand why people would think it's ulgy, it's not for everyone. I've always wanted an old fj40 but they are by no means comfortable or enjoyable to drive daily. This was a great compromise, I like how it looks like a toy.

Congrats man. I really want an FJ, ever since it came out. When I saw what they FJ Cruiser can do offroad at the Calgary Autoshow last year I was sold. I suppose your already on www.fjcruiserforums.com ?

As soon as you get rock chips on the windshield, make sure you get them repaired. It's a bitch to see out that little windshield with cracks all over it.

Anyways props on the new whip, they're fun little trucks:thumbsup:
