Just purchased a 1997 firefly and have heard previous models had a turbo engine, not sure if it was 3 or 4 cylinder and there is very little info I've dug up on the net for after market support. Any info would be appreciated.

goto www.teamswift.net ... they have everything could ever want to know on them. Very capable engine, and a guy in Quebec realy knows how to make them sing, along with a guy in Ontario.

BTW, its a 3 cylinder, and was available from 1985 to 1991 I believe. Where's HiTempGuy when you need him? I heard he's expendable (forum joke).

1L 3 cyl, and i heard the subaru justy had the same motor, but i could be completely wrong.

if you see a spare one at the junk yard, check out how small the whole set up is, quite cute. i snagged a BOV off one, and you can fully compress it with your pinky :D

I saw one 2 days ago at pick your part, 1991. Cool how small those 3 cylinder motors are. I also saw a 1997 geo metro

Umm I think what you think is an air filter is normally called an intercooler.

And I think you're on crack. He's talking about the green piece attached to the turbo, not the big metal box.

HA..

Yes I mistook an air filter for an intercooler... :nut:
