Vw Gti

Cousin is thinking about getting one, can I get some opinions on the pro's and cons of the new GTI ? Can someone link me to a VW community ?

I just bought one. I chose it because of practicality (5 door), space (huge space in the back with seats knocked down), interior room, fun, interior design and layout, fuel economy and transmission.

I drove a bunch of other cars but in the end for me anyways this car was a clear winner over the rest. Over the last 2 years I've had an Integra, WRX, S2000, 330I, and I like the GTi the best for some reason.

Few negatives, its pricey. Full load is close to 40K all in. I am a still a little worried about VW reliability reputation but the other VW we have is over a year old and has had no issues.

pros- lots of options, great interior, dsg (if you choose),
negs- price, reliability

i've had mine gti for over a year and had a few problems, first is finding good service from the dealers. the other is a flap in my intake manifold that keeps braking. gotta get it fixed again soon

but other than that it's a very nice car.
