Just wondering if anyone had an suggestions on a price factor and things to look for...

Looked at a 2000 Subaru RS. It has 78600km, local BC car, no major accidents, few scratches, manual, a/c, pw, no pl, sunroof, etc.

It's a private sale and they are asking for $13500. Is that too much? I have to get a mechanic to look at it. Anything to keep an eye out for?

I'd appreciate any advice and/or suggestions. Thanks!

IIRC the headgasket tends to blow around 150K, but thats super low milage for its year, but the price reflects that i suppose.

13500 in my opinion is wayyyyyyyy too much. under 10 is more reasonable.

IMO that is a fair price. Last year I was looking at buying an impreza too. All of the ones I saw were usually around 10k maybe abit more, but most of them had fairly high mileage and was older then yours (97's, 98's). The ones I saw had 140K+ kms. I dunno seems fair... not a great deal... but fair :dunno:

from my experience in looking for 2.5's 1998-2000 in the past 2 years I've seen them go anywhere from 8000-13500 give or take
so yeah, it is on the more pricey side... but then again quite low km...:dunno:
