The Zonda is currently THE Car to beat! Slightly above the Enzo. Maybe the new updated F1 and the Koenigsegg will move into contention. But it's going to be hard to beat a car that comes with matching luggage and a pair of the popes shoes :P

There are cars faster than even the C12S. And the McLaren F1 for that matter, but it depends if you are talking in just performance terms here?

Street legal exotic cars that perform well on road courses. That is the basic true test of these cars. Top speed, 1/4 mile time, HP.. It's all meaningless. A car that can kick but at the race track then take you from Munich to Frankfurt in style.

thats what i was meaning. there are many cars that can hand a zonda its ass on a circuit, the enzo is one of them.

The Enzo would not hand it it's ass. It would win yes but saying that it would hand it its ass like it's a Civic is exagerating. One thing the Zonda does is hand the Enzo it's ass in terms of style and class. The Enzo is pretty much a track car. It has absolutely no extras. If it doesnt have a use on the track then it's not there. Manual windows etc. Also the Enzo is considerably more expensive than the Zonda. If i had a million to spend i would rather buy a Zonda and get some change over an Enzo. But that's just personal preference. At that level they are both amazing machines

yes, i use the term handed its ass with the company in mind. the enzo is a quicker overall car, but it depends what you are looking for. on one hand you have the F40 which is perhaps the best supercar ever, with no extras whatsoever, or you can go to the McLaren F1 or Bugatti EB110 which are driveable everyday type cars which sacrifice a tiny bit in performance for that luxury.

Well it's a toss up. Either way you're getting a great car. Personally when i weigh the car as a complete package, i prefer the Zonda and believe that it is the best super car in the world. Both the Zonda and Enzo surpass the dated F1 by a small margin. All these cars are amazing and would never call one vastly superior over the other.
