HELP 94 GMC 2500 Diesel problem

I'm borrowing a 1994 GMC 2500 Diesel truck.. stupid thing won't start...
after i drove it home i turned it off for about 45 mins, and when i tried to start it again it wouldn't so i plugged it in for about an hour... then it turned on briefly for about 5 seconds and it would die...
I think it might be the oil level... because it seems a little low but i can't find anywhere to put it in.. haha sounds stupid but anyone know?

Recheck your oil, and make note Diesel's need Air and fuel to ignite..


If you have high mileage and the piston rings are worn you might have trouble heating the air thus the engine not starting.

It may also be a fuel problem as well...injection pump etc....

Do your glow plugs work when you turn the key on as well? Look into that as well!
