try billingsgate near the Foothills hospital (by Wendy's and Keg)

It isn't really a restaurant, but the fish and chips are decent.

There's a Halibut House on Edmonton Trail near Big Fish. I've always wondered how both are.

Yes I agree,... the Deerfoot mall has good fish and chips,

Get the halibut and fries...it's awesome. It's just called British Fish and chips I believe.

Lord and Fin is pretty good

Mudders is decent as well, but I haven't been in a while

Mostly fish and chips in Calgary sucks..along with their idea of mushy peas and lack of newspaper wrapped fish and chips.

I remember going to this tiny fish and chips place once in Brentwood, just beside the Sleep Country in the same strip mall area. It was in the corner and it was pretty good. This was years ago though and I don't even know if it's still there.

I love it there, if I wasn't so far NW and it wasn't so damn cold out I would have gone for lunch with my son, he loves it there. Not best tartar sauce...both fish and chips are really good, there is always a line up, but it's worth the wait.

:werd: I always grab from there if I'm at Deerfoot, you'd never expect fish and chips that tasty from a food court place, but it's great!

Sweet, I thought Lord Fin had closed down entirely. I'd gladly drive to Cochrane just to get some decent fish and chips.

Its been way too many years since I have had some nice fresh fish and chips from Essex. Man do I miss that. The newspaper and everything is just way too important, makes it taste better than you can imagine.

But ya, I totally agree that the place in deerfoot is really good for what it is, always get some when I am near there.

When I moved to Canada I missed fish and chips so much. so I went around Calgary and tried any place I could find and Deerfoot Mall is definitely the best one or was back then.

Kilkenny, Limericks or Unicorn pub are good if you need beer with your FnC.
