to the point.
girlfriends car wont start.
no spark.
Replaced cap, rotor and coil.
still nothing. Wanted to take out the ignition module to get it tested, screws are stripped. and its cold out.
Is there any way I can test it myself??

Or should i try something else?

Thanks

Is there fuel? No spark directly off the coil? if so, most likely ignition module....get those screws out dood.

or what buddy said below (=

take the cap off, and turn the car over, make sure the rotor is spinning.

Sounds like what happend to my friends old accord. We tried everything you listed. Turns out it was the timing belt?:dunno: Hope you get that fixed, broken cars suck.

If the rotor is spinning, its not the timing belt

Check the main relay. It is located in the drivers side footwell. Take the kick panel off right next to your left foot. You'll be able to recognize it when you see it. Black box witha wiring harness attached to it. Unplug it and try another one. If it fires up then you found your problem. If you are handy with repairing electronics then you could actually fix it yourself. Apparnetly the cold solder joints go bad on them. Just resolder them and all is fixed.

Check the main relay, also check the fuses under the dash. With my old Civic, I blew 1 of the IGN fuses(2 of them), got no spark, changed the distributor, cap, wires, plugs, nothing work until I changed that fuse.

i checked all the fuses, but i think the ign fuse on this car is under the hood. either way its good.
but i dont know where the main relay is. i know its up near the fuse box in and around there but cant find it. maybe its somewhere else?

It should be around there somewhere, in both my civics and integras it was there. its a gray box

if you're 100% sure there is fuel getin to the motor its not the main relay. that main relay controls the fuel pump and ECU.

its likely the ignitor or the coil (parts in the distributer)

if you've got a friend with the same car test his dizzy on your car.

Did you check the wires going to the ignition module for a short?

another thing, find the computer, see if theres power getting to the ecu by trying to pull codes, troublecodes.net will show you how. Maybe a code will lead you in the right direction too.

Try another ecu.. how many blinks is it giving off, look at the red light on the ecu and let us know what it is saying..

Try what this guy is saying. It will likely solve your problem.
