Good friend just phoned from springbank airport, said that there were 3 cars that upon closer inspection turned out to be Porsche Panameras in light disguise. All 3 were dark green with front and rear bras. The drivers stopped by the airport and he had a chance to talk to them, sit in the cars and look at the engines. They were sporting 4.5L V8 twin turbos from the cayenne and had transaxles. All of them were loaded up with testing equipment and had Georgia plates.

The cars are heading North now, followed by a Nissan Xterra. Porsche has historically done their annual cold weather testing on Dempster highway, so keep your eyes open, especially you Edmontonians.

Yeah there were some pictures posted of some Panameras doing cold weather testing in Alberta. They were posted a few weeks back, not sure if they were posted on Beyond. I think the Aston Martin Rapaide will look much better then the Porsche, just my opinion though.

Someone tell them that they're a week late. They should have come last week: now that's cold weather testing. :bigpimp:

It would be cool to find out the history as to why they choose Alberta for the cold weather testing.

Nice find

A lot of people hate on these cars, but I think they're pure sex. I'd love to rock one.

I think the problem with Porsche is they try to make everything look like a 911. Cant they try a differant shape just once? (flame suit on)

Why fuck around with perfection?

There was a spotting of one of these in Van with a suburban as its support

Why use an Xterra and not a Cayenne lol. The suburban makes sense for room, but not an Xterra

All they're going to test in town is how well the suspension rides through potholes and whether it can survive getting slammed into a windrow by a redneck in an F150.

Got the camera in my bag though :)

If they wanted to test potholes they'd go to Edmonton. And if they wanted to test cold weather and poor road conditions, they'd go to Edmonton.
