tire size question

hey guys,

don't know much about tires. can someone please tell me if you can put a 255/35/18 tire on a wheel that currently has 245/45/18 on it thanx.

Unless the 245 is already bulging over the side of the rim badly youll be fine. Depending on if youre switching brand or model of tire it might not even be a different width. Maybe throw off your speedo by a couple percent but thats it.

Depends on wheel width but generally I would say it should fit, but it will be a whole shitload more short... 26.6" to 25.0 inch approx...

they would be going on my stock G35 wheels. as the tires need to be replaced this summer i was thinking of selling the wheels and getting 20's or just replace the tires if i can find a good deal. seen some in the marketplace and thought i would double check before making a decision.

Your speedo will be off if you go with that much shorter of a tire. That'll be no problem on your G though on stock rims.
