False

all cars newer than 1989 need them... so from 1990+

false, any imported vehicle, regardless of year of production, needs to have drls

How do you make that work if you have some old ass car with pop ups and no fogs? IE corolla gts

all it says is this:

Daytime running lamps
12 The daytime running lamps on a motor vehicle may emit amber or white light.

If a motor vehicle has the following equipment or safety system installed by the manufacturer of that vehicle, the equipment or system must be maintained in good working order:
(b) daytime running lamps;

no idea, but you'll need that to pass your OPP/Federal

if the supra has foglights, just do a foglight rewire so the fogs come on without the headlights on.

Of course you dont need to do a federal, the car doesnt fall under RIV because its so old (15 to be exact)

But in order to pass OPP you will need drl

Anything produced after december 31, 1989 must have Daytime running lights. thats when manufacturers were required to have em and translates directly to imported vehicles.

im not sure but im think the 90 and 91 supra's never had DLR's. because of the flip up lights. but i could be wrong.

Why is it I see so many new vehicles with no lights on what so ever.. A lot of new trucks and suv's on the highways.. American? I highly doubt they happen to have burnt out lights..

the park lights on the supra are also used as the drl. they automaticaly turn on when you start the car on canadian models.
lots of people think it's cool to pull the fuse on drl's, that's mostly likely why you see so many new vehicles without drl on.

I modded my fog lights to turn on with the ignition for the OPP/Federal and then reverted back after because I don't want the fogs on all the time not because I think it's cool.
