Car is located in Regina, Saskatchewan. Warranty is transfered across to next owner. I believe the warranty is now that the owner pays up front and Subaru of america reemberse the owner for the work done.

Yep I checked around and that is what happens when warranty work is needed!

That is not correct. You only pay up front if you have '08 model. As for extended warranty it is good, even for '08 models you do not have to pay up front.
If the dealer tells you otherwise, tell them to call Subaru of Canada.

Where did you get this information? I was told yesterday you have to pay up front and the amount you get back is US warranty prices (less) and on 08's your SOL.

BTW Bump for a sexy car, white too :)

Well you were told wrong. I have '07 US spec subaru and '08 US spec subaru. Wife's '07 Tribeca had some hose clamps replaced at Centaur as well as remote start batteries all under the warranty and we DID NOT pay anything.
As for my '08, the Subaru of Calgary checked automatic climate control ( Feb 15 ) and I paid $62.95 CAD, ($109 labor rate). I got cheque from SOA on MAR 3 for $64.68 US. Note cheque from SOA is more to reflect exchange rate.

So there you go, that is where I got that information.

Its hard to find mint STi's out there, trust me I drove 7 before I purchased my 06 from the States.

I've had all warranty work also done from centaur subaru in calgary and Subary City in Edmonton. Never had any issues with modding, etc other than the staff drooling over the car.

Bump for the owner. Price is very reasonable, seeing how I paid 45G out the door a year and a half ago for the same condition vehicle.
