What kind of aftermarket engine could I put into this kind of civic that will give it a much bigger boost than the regular 106hp engine.

whats the difference between them all shadowz? is there a site or something I can see all the specs on them all?

you can also put a h series engine in there, here are some spec's


h22a 200hp@6800/161 lb-ft@5500


there is also the h23a Dohc vtec which puts out 220 hp and I think 180 lb-ft

there are other engines out there also let me know if you have other questions.

There's no H23a with vtec. The H23A is similar to the H22A but with a little more displacement, and it has a bit more of torque. Only 160hp though. however, it's much better at handling boost than the H22A. Also, it's possible to do a hybrid motor with an H22 head on an H23 block, it's not worth it though.

umm yes there is a h23a with vtec, it came from the 1999 honda accord wagon in Japan, sorry to burst your bubble but I used to import motors from japan so I pretty sure of what I am saying since I have seen them.


also there is the f20b that will fit in your civic with h22a mounts. thats a sweet motor for the price most ppl put those in accords though for some reason, its fairly cheap, uncommon and a torque monster

I also forgot to mention though, that all those figures I just put out were jdm numbers.... alot off ppl would know that though just from the engine codes I put out and the b16b does not exist here in north america.
