monthly bill's like 30 bucks.. and i never go over.. wish my minutes could roll over though.. my sister on the other hand, her bill's over 100 bucks every month because she doesn't shut the fuck up :D I don't like talking on the cell phone anyways, i use it so people can get a hold of me.

I'm with Rogers.

My ex had an over $5000 Rogers Bill about six months ago. He was on a Digital One plan (because he moved to the states and wanted a local phone so that people in Calgary could call him). The original plan was $150 for 700 minutes (or something like that) for North America calling. What happened was that Rogers lost their contract with Cellular One (the cell provider in his city) and Cellular One charged him $4 AMERICAN (at that time the exchange rate was around 1.5) so it was around $6 Canadian PER MINUTE for roaming on top of his normal airtime plan.
Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. He had to hire legal representation to fight off the charges but still lost a lot in legal fees.

As for my bill it's always around $62 unless I leave the city for more than two weeks per month. When I leave it's usually around $300 because I pick up most my calls.

45 U.S. a month. I can't possibly go over, if I did I would have a tumor. Sometimes I get hit with roaming charges when i come to Canada but that's not very often. With T mobile I get 3000 day time minutes and unlimited weekends and evenings, with voice mail, and unlimited text messaging. Lucked out two years ago when I signed up for a special plan, haven't switched since.

huh?
I don't understand the first part. But basically Rogers screwed him over because they didn't let him know the contract was lost and that it affected him (it's a long story but Rogers tried to fuck him over)

how come u have so many lines?
are these active at the same time?

sorry i didn't notice the part of your thread. and i noticed i can't write proper sentences either. ignore what i said.

well i have my main line to run a little business i have going.

the second line is for personal use

the third line i started to see how the fido GSM network is compared to Rogers and I've just held onto it since. I keep 3 different numbers for 3 different cities.

Being in TO all the time and having a gf in calgary gets expensive, when Im away my cell phone bills are anywhere between, 300-500 a month. It woudl be nice to receive a discount from telus for paying such huge bills..Ben suggest that at the next board of directors meeting:D

Well I live in Edmonton and Grande Prairie but I spend alot of time in Calgary as well.

Redlyne_mr2 - if you end up making alot of the calls you should look into getting a third party long distance plan on your cell. On one of my line's i signed up for a primas.ca wireless LD account. They have a few to choose from to meet your needs. Also many other companies offer them such as sprint and... well that's all i can think of but their are many more.

You should also look up the roaming number for TO. That way when people call you, you don't have to pay the long distance... they do. Also, if you are they for a while, I am sure you can get a second number. You can change your cell to that number when you are there... and back when you are here... all on the same bill.

My Cell bill seems to be $200 every month. I spent 25 hours on the phone last month. Brutal. But my cell get paid for by the company! The highest I have seen is $540... Roaming in the states kills you!

My base plan is around $45 a month with 300 day time minutes and free evenings/weekends. The past 4 months I have been consistently paying anywhere from $300 to $375 per month  I think I need to upgrade my plan.

My plan used to be a $25 plan and I would bring the bill up to about $100+ each month.
Now I am on a $40 plan and manage to pay only that!

My bill is supposed to be $7.20/month and the biggest bill I had was $78.

Would be a helluva lot higher if I actually had to pay for my rate plan and all my features!!!!

Mine just came today - $65.78. Not bad, usually only about 10 dollars over. Before I switched over to this plan, I had the 100 minutes a month plan for $20. My bill came to over $230.00 so I decided to change it up a bit.

I'm on telus: Max over was $850 when the company that I was working for changed from 30 days pay to 45 days payment cycle.

Average Monthly bill: $120
Highest single bill: $550

Not bad considering that I use my telus phone all over Canada and the US and with the new plan, I never pay a cent of roaming or long distance.

Holy shit, you guys are nuts. Once my free minutes are up, my phone stays off, and people better start leaving messages on my voice mail!! If your call isn't important enough to leave a message, it's not important enough to call back. The most I've ever been over was like $5! Hahaha!

I'm such a cheap ass...

I pay like $40 a month for 50 calls/caller id/voicemail. Too much.

Anyone know of someone that will give caller id, voicemail, and not that many minutes (maybe 100) for a reasonable price?

I got you all beat, about a year or two ago I got a bill for $900 and change.
when I signed up I told telus I was gonna be travelling alot within canada, and that I needed a plan to suit that, and so I got on for I think around 250 a month for 2000 min anywhere in north america, and so I went to the NWT and racked up lots of minutes but no more than normal, and it turns out that telus doesnt have a contract with northwest tel to use their towers so I was getting hit with 2 dollar a minute roaming charges. and when I call to complain they were like, oh dont worry about it we just signed a deal with northwest tel so it will be okay now. lotta good that did me, I havent been up there since then...:guns: Damn the man!!, DAMN HIM!!!!!
