ok guys, my brain is just not wanting to work today.

anyone have a gas mileage equation to find out how many L/100kph you use.

I know this is simple, but i just can't wrap my head around it today.

and from wikipedia:

2.

To convert between L/(100 km) and miles per U.S. gallon, divide 235 by the number in question.

so 22 mpg is

235 / 22 = 10.68 L/100km

simple!

Just reset your odometer every time you fill your car. Then record how much you put in the tank until the nozzle clicks the first time.

Then you will see exactly how much gas you used for the kms driven to get a more accurate number.

Nice little tip to go from mpg to l/100km and vice versa.

go to google, and in the search box type something like:

18L/100km to mpg

hit search

the result will show

18L/100km = 13mpg.

It can do all sorts of conversions and math, pretty handy.

I record my gas mileage on an excel spreadsheet. Its super easy to set up, all I have to do is put in how far I drove and how many litres I put in, and it calculates MPG and L/100KM. All you have to do is save all your receipts and keep track of my odo. PM me and I'll email you a template.

http://www.gassavers.org/ allows you to chart your gas mileage (under the garage section)
