So ive decided to brign the mr2 back into its full glory of 91. the cars pretty mint with low km's but due to age all the seals and hoses leak pretty bad. I just want some opinions of things that should be done while the motors out or problem parts that should be replaced. Im not doing any major upgrades right now because i have a limited budget but i do have lots of time!! any input greatly appretiated

Do a search in this thread as we have covered this a few times. It's good to see people doing maintenance and not just bolting on bling. Looks like a nice car.

I even got it all shined up for the maiden voyage...such a disapointment

its almost ointless to paint engine parts. it seems by the time there installed you already have chips

racks unlimited.. be careful they really take their toll on the ttops.. or is yours a hardtop? I like what youve done in the engine bay. That low key intake manifold looks wicked.

I thought I was pretty anal about those things but you have me topped. Now I feel bad about keeping my oil leak LOL.

Why the new bumper?

2 of the holes/clips where the bumper attaches to the lip were broken... I didnt want my lip to be "rigged" on there...

ya there 18s with 215/35's and 255/35's. the car has trd springs in it but i need coilovers to bring it down a bit more. i think theyll look better if that gap wasnt so big

i got about 500k on the motor work and was content that everything was good on her...so it came time to turn up the boost a wee tad. it was at 6-7, now at 13-14ish and that thing really came alive finally...i mean it still has a long way to got but its somewhat respectable now!:nut: the thing that i was amazed about was how fast it hits full boost now. its damn near instantanious!! i was planning on shipping it out to toronto with me but i think ill actually drive it now... what do you guys think 3600 km in 20 hours!!!haha i dont know though, anyone here drive there mr2 for 3 or 4 days straight??
