EDMONTON — The Edmonton Police Service is red-faced over thousands of red light tickets.
Police say between September and January about 3,400 photo red light tickets were processed with an incorrect name of the verifying officer printed on the ticket.
Tickets that were outstanding have been quashed.
Police plan, however, to take advantage of a law that will allow tickets to be reissued to motorists for offences that occurred over the past six months.
