yeh, this is old news. by brother drives a tow truck and picks up scrap cars, he keeps the CAt's from all of them, if he leave them on the car he gets nothing, if he takes them off he can take them in and get like $40 a peice.

Most yards are good at taking them off first. :thumbsup:

Its lesser of a concern for newer vehicles since most catalytic converters are located next to the exhaust manifold.
