Question about insurance

i was talking to my friend and he said that the government is going to step in this winter and lower insurance rate..(he claims it was on the news), does anyone know if this is true or is he bullshittin?? :dunno:

Actually yes, I didnt hear any definitive date like winter or anything, but I do know the government is considering both capping claims payouts as well as regulating premiums. One suggestion was move drivers to the "innocent until proven guilty" mentality, where young drivers get a sane rate, until they do something dumb. Also, premiums would not go up for no-fault claims. I saw it on CFCN news as well as some websites like canada.com and canoe.ca.

This paying more for my insurance than for my car is BS, I hope they step in soon :thumbsdow
