It's still winter. I'd bet that we get a few more dumps. My rims are still on my car which won't come out unti April 1st.

I would off off for atleast a couple of more weeks, more snow is bound to come.

Wouldn't want to see you making a thread after it snows "car hit curb, how much to fix?"

reason for this is, if you know calgary winters at all, you know we ALWAYS get a few good dumpings of snow during mid to late march, and mosre often than not into april.

I would leave the winters on until over night temperatures stop dipping below -7 or -8. at least this is my rule.

Depends on your summer tires. If they can handle a bit of the white stuff, I'd agree, put them on as soon as it's clean out there. But if they're real performance tires and act like slicks in the snow, probably better to wait until the snow's all gone.

I drive a truck all winter, and I'll take out my summer car as soon as the roads are dry, but I can always park it for a few days if the weather turns.

Actually, it was the mad-tyte JDM power that ripped the rim right off during a smoke-show. The RHD allows the drivetrain to align in such a way as to add 45% more torque transfer to the pavement. Newb.

Regular rota's wouldn't have failed unless the front wheels snapped off of the honda. Happens ALL the time man. ALL THE TIME. Honda front wheels pretty much all fall off, it's a documented inter-fact.

I just hate mis-information. :thumbsdow

Uhh....how are they wasting money? Do you even KNOW how salting/graveling works kid?

You cant have a road covered in old gravel and salt, get new snow and expect traction. It has to go ON TOP of the new snow/ice. That and 3/4 of the old gravel ends up being pushed to the shoulders anyway.

The cleaning of the streets would have still been a waste of money since they will have to clean it again. I think that is the waste he was commenting on.

You don't make any sense, dude.

You don't think it's the city's goal to clean the roads? They why do they do it? The have to maintain otherwise the roads will pile up with the crap. Clean streets are their goal.

I don't know why people want to keep on winters for 2 extra months because of the potential 3 days they may be needed, suck it up, take a taxi or bus if you have to, just stop being all, "OMG, its snowing, my vag hurts!"
