So about 3 minutes ago, my phone rang. The number on the call display was "000000". A machine upon picking up said "Hello. There are currently no problems with your credit card account, however we can get you a lower interest rate. Press 1 to speak to an agent right now and get a lower rate". So I do, as that's interesting that they never said who they are, who's credit card is ok, and I like to mess with telemarketers. Then after holding for about 15-25 seconds, some guy picks up the phone, and says "Hello. Did you press 1 for a lower interest rate?" I said I did, and asked who this was. He told me his name which I forgot, and I butted in with "what company is this from?" and the reply was a low pitched muttering of "I'm going to fuck you and your motherfucking-" and that's it. Really fuckin strange. Anybody ever got anything like this?

I got the same 000000000 phone number before.

I didn't bother answering it though, I naturally assumed it was a scammer or telemarketer.

^lol...going high tech now, we're fucked!

is it just me or is anyone else being bombarded by damn 1-800 numbers for surveys and better long distance rates, etc...

at least a min of 10-15 a day, so annoying.

I got that same phone call at home last night. I've also had it in the past. As soon as I heard that it was a recording I just hung up.

My caller ID has recently been showing several missed calls from "Unknown Name" at "123-456-7890". I don't pick up if it's an unknown number, unexpected call, or 888/800 number, so I don't know if this was the same thing as above.

I recommend contacting their head office to make a complaint:

Maybe they will reprimand the salesperson who called you for using foul language:

I get phone calls about how I've won a cruise like 5-6 times a week.
