Has anyone bought off this site...

www.wheelsnext.com

They say free shipping to Canada...

Their prices are pretty damn cheap too...I saw the name on the Mazda3 forums but wondering if anybody here in Calgary has bought from them online and how long did Fedex Ground service take to get here!?

Edit: Oh, it mentions duties...how much would duties be on a wheel and tire package worth about 1000 USD? This would be my main concern, if its like 300 bucks or something then there's no point...

Yea man, I remember reading somewhere that this guy paid like 300 bucks for duties and what not, well that pretty much wipes out any savings from buying in Canada.

I brought up 20"ADR wheels and Nexxen tires for my Audi A6 last year. Duties ended up combining to around $200. Total purchase price for product alone was around $900.

Yea so ballpark $300 for duties/brokerage is about right for a $1000-1100 package?

Damn....works out to about the same as here then lol.

Anyone know any CANADIAN sites that are cheap??...Tiretrends has good prices but has almost nothing in stock I want for my car :( And they don't carry Tenzo-R. 1010tires.com is similar pricing to local shops.

Some guy there answered all my questions. Apparently he paid about 20% total (with tax, brokerage and duties) on top of the quoted price on the website which isn't too bad but he said it took 20 days lol.

^ more importantly though, how much did you pay for duties an what not and what was the price of the package without all that?

Just make sure whomever you're buying from ships USPS, instead of UPS. I think the duty should only be about 6%, and then GST of 5%, but UPS charges huge "brokerage" fees which are a percentage of the items' value. Items shipped USPS come through Canada Post, which will only charge you $5 for brokerage.

If they will ship them express theres no duty, but pricey off the bat..

^Hmmm...just got off the phone with them, they only ship Fedex and the guy said on a 1400 dollar package...they will charge 5% GST plus 100 dollars Brokerage and that's it....something tells me buddy there wasn't telling me that I would have to pay duties on receipt of it...

I have ordered 3 sets of rims from wheelsnext, you need to be crafty with them, first off if you work somewhere, get it shipped to the business address and also inquire as to where the rims are made.

No Duty on USA made products. Fedex is 10000000000000000000000000000000 times better then ups, i normally pay about 80 duty and 80 brokerage and the gst. If you get a rim on sale you save about 600 to 1k over CMS prices.

Kavy, how long does it take from the day you order it online to the day it gets to your door?
