Is this even fair?

I remember reading this as part of the rules for the marketplace posted by rage :


"feeler threads" are not permitted, it is either for sale or it is not

And then I noticed this sticky'd thread that fuji (who im guessing is a mod of some sort?) has up:

Where near the bottom it states that:

I mean, isn't this completely going against the rules established by the mods themselves? And I mean thats annoying enough on its own, but the fact that it's a sticky'd thread thats constantly on the front page of the marketplace when its just a "feeler" thread makes it a little worse.

Am I the only one slightly bothered by this?

Many times i have wanted to do a feeler thread but noticed it was against the rules... yet this guy can get his stickied? thats bullshit. Anyone who disagrees just doesnt have the nuts to go against the mods.

Is it unfair? Yeah - maybe. But let's face it guys. We get to frequent a great site for free, and the mods do their job on here for free as well. I think they have the right to bend the rules for themselves a bit don't they?

It seems to me as though it's only a "Feeler" thread once you put "Feeler" on it.

Sooo.. why don't you post it up for sale, put a high-ish price and just act like an unmotivated seller? You can still gauge reactions this way, yet not have to bear the brunt of the wrath of the mods.
